Yes, the compass was invented in ancient China. It helped them learn directions and where to go on the sea. I think it helped them find where they wanted to go. When they had to go out on the open sea or a big adventure they used the compass to help tell them where to go. People dont really know how they came up with the compass or how they used it or even what they looked like!! All that we know is they could hopefully tell where they were going alot better than before!!!
Well nicole I guess I learned somthing new today because i never knew the compass was made in CHINA ..I know theres ALOT of things made there but a compass wasnt the first thing that came to mind. I have a question..... if the compass told them which way to go...then why would they need a map?
